Sandblasting & Abrasive Blasting in Scoresby

Scoresby is roughly ten minutes south-west of our Bayswater workshop, which is where all of our blasting and coating is carried out. For Scoresby customers that means a short trip up Scoresby Road or Stud Road with the item, or transport we arrange at additional cost. Once here, we can garnet blast, glass bead blast, and apply specified or non-specified protective coatings without the item leaving the building.

Logistics

Getting your items to us from Scoresby

Scoresby sits near the EastLink and Wellington Road corridors, so most Scoresby businesses have good options for getting north to us — Scoresby Road or Stud Road up to Boronia Road or Canterbury Road puts you at the workshop in about ten minutes outside peak periods.

Being close to a major freeway interchange has a practical upside: if you already have freight movements booked through the area, adding a leg to Bayswater is a small detour rather than a dedicated trip. For business-park tenants without a truck of their own, that is often the easiest route, and we can arrange the transport ourselves if you would rather not organise it.

Drop it in via Scoresby Road or Stud Road

Around ten minutes each way. Handy for the smaller components and equipment parts that make up a lot of business-park work, which usually travel fine in a van or on a ute tray.

Transport organised at additional cost

We can arrange a courier or truck both ways. Businesses in the Scoresby parks often prefer this because it removes the need to tie up a staff member and vehicle for the round trip.

All blasting and coating is carried out in house at our Bayswater workshop. We do not offer mobile or on-site blasting, so items need to reach us one of the two ways above.

Local Customers

Who we typically help in Scoresby

Scoresby is dominated by business parks and light industrial tenancies rather than heavy manufacturing — service companies, equipment suppliers, assembly and technical operations, and offices attached to workshops. The items we see from Scoresby tend to be smaller and more specific than the structural steel that comes out of the heavy precincts: equipment housings and enclosures, frames and mounting brackets, machine guarding, test rigs, display and demonstration units, and parts stripped for refurbishment.

A recurring Scoresby theme is refurbishment rather than new build. Equipment suppliers and service businesses often need an item brought back to presentable, functional condition — old coatings removed, the substrate cleaned without being damaged, and a fresh coating system applied. That plays to the value of having two blasting processes available: we can pick the gentler one where the part is thin-walled, aluminium, or has a finish to protect.

Equipment suppliers and service businesses

Housings, enclosures, frames and machine guarding stripped and recoated so equipment can go back into service looking and performing as it should.

Assembly and technical operations

Mounting brackets, rigs and fabricated sub-assemblies blasted to a clean, consistent surface before coating.

Business-park tenants without a workshop

One-off items where you need someone to handle the whole surface preparation and coating step off site.

Services

Which services suit Scoresby work

Garnet Abrasive Blasting

Used on steel frames, guarding and heavier equipment parts from Scoresby where old coatings and corrosion need to come off completely.

Glass Bead Abrasive Blasting

Frequently the better fit for refurbishment work — it cleans aluminium, stainless and finish-sensitive housings without cutting a deep profile into them.

Protective Coatings

Refurbished equipment usually needs a presentable, durable finish rather than just a primer, and coating systems are applied here in house after blasting.
