Let Us Answer Your

Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing the right blasting and protective coating service matters, so we've answered the questions customers ask most often — how the process works, which blasting method suits your item, what to send with a quote request, and how items get to and from our Bayswater workshop.

About the process

What abrasive blasting and protective coating actually involve, and which method suits your item.

Abrasive blasting, often called sandblasting, propels an abrasive media at a surface under high pressure to strip away rust, mill scale, old paint and contaminants. It leaves a clean, uniform surface with a profile that coatings can grip. It is the surface preparation step that determines how well a protective coating bonds and how long it lasts.
