Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 28 August 2026

These terms apply to your use of the Profile Blasting and Coatings ("PBC", "we", "us") website at profileblastingandcoatings.com.au, and to enquiries and quote requests made through it. By using this site you accept these terms. Work we actually carry out is also subject to the quotation and any written terms we issue for that job; where they differ from this page, the quotation and job terms prevail.

1. About the content on this site

The information on this site — including descriptions of garnet and glass bead abrasive blasting, coating systems, substrates, industries and service areas — is general information about what we do. It is not technical, engineering or coating-specification advice for your particular item, and it should not be relied on as a substitute for a specification or a quote. Photographs of previous work are examples only; results vary with the substrate, its condition and the coating system chosen.

We try to keep the site accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is complete, error free or up to date, and we may change content, pricing indications or service descriptions at any time without notice.

2. Quotes are estimates until confirmed

Any figure, indication or estimate we give — through this website, by phone, by email or in a written quotation — is an estimate based on the information you have given us. It is not an offer capable of acceptance and is not binding on us until we confirm the job in writing.

Quotations are valid for the period stated on the quotation itself. Where no period is stated, please treat the quotation as an estimate only and contact us to confirm it is still current before proceeding — material and coating costs can change. A quotation is based on the information and images you provide; if the item differs materially from what was described, we will contact you with a revised price before proceeding.

3. Your responsibility to describe items accurately

You are responsible for describing your items accurately and completely, including quantity, dimensions, material, any existing coating, and anything hazardous, fragile, sealed, pressurised or of unusual value. You must tell us in advance about anything that must not be blasted or coated, and about any parts, machined surfaces, threads, bearings, seals, glass or fittings that require masking or removal.

Items should be delivered clean of oil, grease and loose contamination where practicable, and free of contents. Where you supply a coating specification, you are responsible for its suitability for the item and its service environment; where you ask us to nominate a system, our recommendation is made in good faith on the information you have given us.

4. All work is performed in house

All blasting and coating is completed at our workshop at 46 Malvern Street, Bayswater VIC 3153. We do not offer mobile or on-site blasting. Items must be delivered to and collected from that address, or transported by a courier.

5. Delivery, collection and transport risk

Items are delivered to us and collected from us at your risk. Where you ask us to arrange a courier, we do so as a convenience on your behalf and at additional cost; the transport contract is between you and the carrier, and we are not liable for loss, delay or damage in transit. You are responsible for adequate packing, lifting points and safe handling requirements, and for insuring your items while in transit.

We will notify you when your items are ready for collection. Please arrange collection or courier promptly once notified — our yard and workshop space is limited. Items left uncollected for an extended period may attract a storage charge. We will always tell you in advance if a storage charge is going to apply, and what it will be.

6. Timeframes

Any turnaround time we give is an estimate only. Blasting and coating are affected by workload, item condition, coating cure times and ambient conditions, and we are not liable for delay beyond our reasonable control.

7. Enquiries and files you send us

When you submit an enquiry or quote request you must give true and complete information, and you must only upload files you have the right to send us. Do not send confidential material you do not want held on our systems. How we handle the information you submit is set out in our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

The content of this site — text, photographs, graphics, the Profile Blasting and Coatings name and logo, and the layout and design — is owned by us or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and other laws. You may view, download and print pages for your own use in considering our services. You may not reproduce, republish, adapt or use our content or images commercially, or use our name or logo, without our written permission.

9. Acceptable use

You must not use this site or its forms unlawfully, send spam or automated submissions, attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, upload malicious files, or interfere with the operation of the site.

10. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that, to the extent permitted by law: we exclude all warranties not expressly stated here; we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of production, loss of use or loss of data arising from your use of this site or from our services; and where we are permitted to limit our liability, our liability for a job is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.

We give no warranty on this page as to coating life, film thickness performance or corrosion protection duration; where a warranty applies to a job it will be stated in writing for that job.

11. Third-party links

Where this site links to other websites, including our social media profiles, we do not control and are not responsible for their content.

12. Payment terms

Payment terms are as stated on your invoice. Unless we have agreed a credit account with you in writing, payment is required in full before items are collected or dispatched. We will confirm accepted payment methods at the time of invoicing.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page, with the "Last updated" date above, is the current one and applies to your use of the site from the time it is posted.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and of the Commonwealth of Australia.
