Sandblasting & Abrasive Blasting in Boronia
Boronia sits immediately south of us, close enough that the drive up Boronia Road to our Bayswater workshop takes only a few minutes. All blasting and coating is completed in house at 46 Malvern Street, so a Boronia job works one of two ways: you drop the item off, or we arrange transport at additional cost. Once it is with us we can garnet blast, glass bead blast, and apply specified or non-specified protective coatings on the same site.

Logistics
Getting your items to us from Boronia
Boronia Road is the natural route — it links the Boronia shopping and station precinct across to the Bayswater industrial area in a few minutes, and it is a run most Boronia tradespeople already make regularly. Coming from the Ferntree Gully or Wantirna edges of the suburb the trip is barely longer, since you join the same corridor.
The short distance changes the economics of small jobs. A single gate, a wheelbarrow-load of brackets or one motorbike frame is worth bringing to us from Boronia in a way it might not be from the far side of the city, because you are not committing to a half-day round trip or a freight booking to get it here.
Drop off via Boronia Road
A few minutes up Boronia Road and you are at the workshop. Bringing the item yourself means we can look at it with you, agree on the blasting process and confirm what coating you want before anything starts.
Transport we organise for you
For items that will not go in a trailer or on a roof rack, we can arrange transport to and from Bayswater at additional cost. From Boronia the transport component stays modest simply because the distance is so short.
All blasting and coating is carried out in house at our Bayswater workshop. We do not offer mobile or on-site blasting, so items need to reach us one of the two ways above.
Local Customers
Who we typically help in Boronia
Boronia has an unusual blend for this part of Melbourne: a genuine spread of trades and small manufacturers tucked among a large, long-established residential area. That produces two quite different streams of work. On the commercial side we see building and maintenance trades, small manufacturers and repair businesses sending components, frames, machinery parts and fabricated steel for blasting and priming.
On the domestic side, Boronia's older housing stock and big backyards mean plenty of steel that has been outside for decades — gates, fences, verandah posts, garden furniture, trailers, wood heaters and car and bike restoration projects. We treat those jobs the same way as commercial ones: assess the substrate, choose the blasting process that suits it, and apply a coating system appropriate to where the item will live.

Local trades and repairers
Components, frames and plant parts from Boronia's building, maintenance and repair businesses, turned around alongside our commercial work.
Small manufacturers
Short production runs and one-off fabrications blasted to a clean, consistent surface before priming or a full coating system.
Domestic and restoration customers
Decades-old gates, fences, verandah steel, furniture and vehicle parts stripped back to bare metal and recoated.

About Glass Bead Abrasive BlastingProtective Coatings
Important for anything going back outdoors in a leafy, damp suburb — we can apply a coating system chosen for that exposure straight after blasting.
